SECTION
Geotechnical
problems arise in modern urban and rural construction on different kinds of geomaterial (e.g. Soil and Rock). Common problems include
stability, deformation and bearing capacity. In such circumstances, knowledge on soil and rock properties such as classification, shear
strength and deformation are essential. Sometimes, ground
improvement technique in the form of cement jet grouting and deep cement mixing
are used in soft soil and as such the knowledge on shear strength and
deformation properties of improved soil are very important. Geotechnical
properties play important role for the analysis and design of foundations,
temporary and permanent earth retaining structures, dams, embankment etc. Wide
range of laboratory and field-testing are required to get right geotechnical
parameters and thus enables to solve geotechnical engineering problems.
With the view of

Cast Laboratories has carried out soil investigation
works Island wide at various types of private and
government construction projects both in the ground as well as marine
environment. Value added services like analysis and recommendation on bearing
capacity and settlement of shallow foundation, lateral and vertical loading
capacity of different types of piles and penetration length of various types of
retaining walls are offered together with normal soil investigation works. Some
